Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information TimingoJobs (operated by Timingotech) collects, why, and how it's used. TimingoJobs handles resumes, contact details, and - in the categories you choose to answer - sensitive personal information, so we've tried to be specific about each of those rather than write something generic.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, used to sign you in.
• Profile and resume data: the resumes you upload and the structured information parsed from them - employment history, education, skills, certifications, and similar - plus anything you edit or add directly (headline, summary, links, city/region/country).
• Voluntary demographic self-identification: race/ethnicity, gender identity, veteran status, and disability status, and your work authorization status, are collected only if you choose to provide them, are never inferred from your name, resume, or anything else, and are used only to answer application questions you've explicitly opted to have answered automatically.
• WhatsApp number: collected only if you choose to enable WhatsApp alerts, and only used for that once you've confirmed you actually control the number via a one-time code.
• Gmail messages: only if you choose to connect Gmail. We read message content solely to identify and classify recruiting-related emails (confirmations, interview invitations, assessments, offers, rejections) tied to your applications - not for any other purpose.
• Payment information: handled directly by Paystack; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and basic transaction metadata, not your full card details.
• Usage and activity data: logs of what the automation did on your applications (submitted, paused, needed your input) - used to run the service and for your own activity history.

2. How we use your information

We use this information to match and score jobs against your profile, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, fill out real employer application forms on your behalf, classify recruiting emails if you've connected Gmail, send you notifications about your search, process payments, and operate and improve the service generally.

3. AI processing and other service providers

To score jobs and generate tailored content, relevant parts of your profile and the job posting are sent to one of our AI providers - OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude - for that specific purpose. We also rely on Paystack for payment processing, Google for the optional Gmail integration, Twilio/WhatsApp for optional WhatsApp notifications, and Vercel and Supabase to host the application and its data. We don't sell your personal information to anyone, and we only share it with these providers as needed to run the service.

4. Sensitive information

Voluntary demographic self-identification and work-authorization data get extra care: they're only used to answer application questions in that same category, using your own stated answer verbatim - never reinterpreted, never inferred from anything else in your profile, and never used for scoring or matching. A genuinely sensitive personal question the profile doesn't already cover (a Social Security number, date of birth, criminal history, security clearance, current or past salary) is never answered automatically at all - it's always escalated to you.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business, legal, or billing purposes (such as maintaining payment records). If you request deletion, we delete your personal data except what we're required to retain by law.

6. Your rights and choices

• Pause or stop automation at any time from your settings.
• Edit or delete your resumes and profile information at any time.
• Review, edit, or correct any AI-suggested answer before it's reused on a future application.
• Disconnect Gmail or WhatsApp at any time - we stop reading or messaging through them immediately.
• Request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing team@timingotech.com.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypting sensitive values at rest and in transit where applicable and restricting internal access to what's needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously given the sensitivity of what this service handles.

8. Children's privacy

TimingoJobs is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.

9. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, wherever our infrastructure and service providers operate. By using TimingoJobs, you consent to that transfer and processing.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know before it takes effect.
